The Kanak Vrindavan Valley, which is such an amazingly beautiful place in Jaipur, has a lot of attractions for all those people who are visiting the pink city. The trip to this fascinating garden complex would be one memorable experience for all who visit.

The valley is located on the way to Amer Fort situated somewhere at the bottom of the Nahargarh Hill. This very garden is surrounded by popular tourist spots such as the Amer Palace, Amer Fort, Jal Mahal and the lush green nature which just sooths your soul and envelops you in its serenity.

History

The garden was named by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh, approximately 280 years ago, when this was built. This popular name ‘Kanak Vrindavan’ was coined as it resembled to the mythological place, where Lord Krishna used to live. Because of its historical name, subsequently an idol of lord Krishna was constructed in a special complex in the Kanak Vrindavan Valley, which is called the ‘Shri Govind Devji’ complex.

The garden has many attractions like a temple, intricate marble beauty and a series of beautiful fountains. Managed by the government of Rajasthan, the Kanak Vrindavan Valley is an ideal hangout spot for those who really want to explore, discover and experience the beauty of green grass, a sophisticated temple and the amazing fountains.

The Infrastructure and Tourist Attractions

The Kanak Vrindavan valley is a beautiful picturesque spot located at the foot of the Nahargarh hills and is also flanked by the glorious green plantations, which just envelop the whole place like a green shield. This valley is in a form a garden with intricate ‘chhatris’, rich mirror work and ‘jali’ work on the walls of the Govind Devji Temple. A series of fountains also adorn the place.

The garden here is divided into eight sections and is famous for its fountain called the ‘Parikrama’, which seems to have been carved out of the single slab of marble. The ‘Garba Griha’, which means ‘the seat of the lord', is also placed inside the temple complex and is made with delicate ‘panni’ work. The beautiful evergreen garden at the Kanak Vrindavan valley offers a stupendous view of the pink city Jaipur and also other nearby attractions such as Amer Fort and the Dharbawati River, which is such an enchanting place to be at. This breathtaking view has been many a time used as a background for many Bollywood movies.

Of course, its beauteous view with the lush green garden and other things just make you all the more ransacked with its serene beauty. Also, one can always go on about exploring the many other tourist spots nearby such as Amer Fort, the Jal Mahal Walkway, Nahargarh Hills and Dharbawati River.
