Central Park: The largest park of Pink City


When it comes to the largest park in the Pink city, Central Park is the name that strikes. Constructed by the Jaipur Development Authority at an ideal location, this park was inaugurated by Vasundhara Raje (Chief Minister of Rajasthan) on 21st January 2006. Although there are many gardens in the Pink city, but the tempting allure of this park has a different appeal. This is a lush green area, having a wide variety of plants belonging to different species. The greenery and impressive structures represent a modern outlook of this park to its visitors.

This park has lots of attractive things to lure visitors like diverse flora, impressive structures and multiple concentric walking or jogging tracks. They together add to the park's outstanding look.

People can also enjoy the singing fountain or musical show in the evening, which is free of cost. You will feel enthralled by the charm of the musical fountains. This is a beautiful place to spend your spare time with family as it exhibits a soothing aura and peaceful green atmosphere. The park provides spacious tracks to walk, jog or ride your bicycle along the path.

It is located in the heart of the city. The garden has greenery in abundance with many different kinds of flora to lure visitors. Places like Rambagh Polo Ground and Golf Club, Rambagh Palace, Statue Circle and Amar Jawan Jyoti are the most prominent nearby attractions of this place, which make it a perfect site to visit.

Amazing Flora & Fauna

It has a five kilometre long track for walking and jogging purposes. Central Park is also considered a bird watchers' paradise as many native and migratory birds visit this park round the year. It is popular for being a home to the tallest tricolor flag of the country, which is hosted 206 feet high from the ground. The National flag hosted here is 28 feet wide and 72 feet in length.

You will get enthralled by the fragrance of seasonal flowers all around the garden. It has a Hi-tech nursery in the form of a glass house with vast collection of inland and foreign varieties of flora, shrubs, herbs, ferns and flowering plants. The delightful allure of fountains and floriculture section adds charisma to the beauty of this park.

Shrine & 13 Stone Figures

This park also consists of a little shrine in the center of the park that makes it a holy place. Indian flag is idol fixed in central park. High voltage lights falls on this national flag and makes it look magnificent at evening time. Some other attractive things that make it most visited place of Pink city are stone statues, temple and musical fountains. One more thing that makes it more attractive and beautiful is the 13 stones figures in park. These figures are to represent constellation and winter solstice.

From Airport

Via Cab or Auto

  • Distance from airport is 11 km via Jawahar Lal Naharu Marg (via JLN Marg).
  • Cab or auto will take 25-30 min for reach Central Park.
  • Charges for one side is approx. for auto Rs. 120-150 Indian rupee

Via Public Transportation

  • Bus service is available for Central Park.
  • You will take auto and reach Jhawar Circle, than after that from Jhawar Circle you will take bus 3Atowards Choti Choper, it will drop you at Naryan Singh Circle , from there 1.2 km,  (15 minutes Walking distance of Central Park, 
  • It will take more than 30-40 minutes.

From Railway Station

Via Cab or Auto

  • Distance from railway station is 3.9 km (via Prithviraj road).
  • Cab or auto will take 25 - 30 min for reach Central Park.
  • Charges for one side is approx. for auto Rs. 100-150 Indian rupee.
  • Charges for one side is approx. for cab Rs. 120-170 Indian rupee.

Via Public Transportation

  • Bus service is available for Central Park.
  • You will take auto and reach Khasa Khoti, than after that from Khasa Khoti you will take bus 6A towards Jawahar Circle, it will drop you at Nariyan Singh Circle , from there 1.2 km,  (15 minutes Walking distance of Central Park, 
  • It will take more than 30-35 minutes.
