John Dawson got a chance to visit Jaipur for 3 days in October to attend a wedding. Despite of their too brief visit to Jaipur, which isn’t enough to experience all that the city has to offer and even after the wedding functions too most of their time here, the family still managed to squeeze in some of the major attractions of the pink city. And here is what he has to say about Jaipur.

John describes Jaipur as simply ‘beautiful’. He said that the wedding was indeed a lot of fun and a great cultural experience.

“The forts are spectacular. The views from Nahargarh and Jaigarh are breathtaking and Amer is one of the most impressive sights I have seen anywhere in the world. Hawa Mahal was stunning both during the day and at night. Albert Hall again looks stunning at both day and night; at night it is truly magnificent all lit up and during the day the intricate details more visible and impressive. The Pink City and the Johari Bazaar and finally Jal Mahal, which my daughter said she wished she could live in as her palace, are all spectacular sights to witness…”, says John.

“I can honestly say Jaipur is among the most unique destinations I have been anywhere in the world. I can tell the people are very proud of the city and so they should be. We saw amazing sights and met some of the world’s most beautiful people on our trip. I hope someday to return and see it all again and experience the other things we weren't able to squeeze in to our itinerary.”

With this John Dawson shared a bunch of images from his collection of some 300 photographs that they clicked at Jaipur during their visit. Let’s see a few pictures of Jaipur taken by John Dawson!
