Overloaded Tractor Runs on Two Wheels in Chomu

It was just a few days before that we lost 5 innocent lives due to an overloaded truck and now an overloaded tractor made its way to the Jaipur city. Not just these 5 but we have lost around 175 lives to unfortunate accidents in the past 5 months, all because of the ignorance of local authorities.

Even after this, overloaded vehicles are still running around in the city areas without any hassles. It seems like we everyone from the Jaipur Police to the Transport Department and from the local authorities to the government have blindfolded themselves towards these running 'Vehicles of Death'.

'Vehicles of Death' - Some Pictures

No Actions Taken

The recent accident that took place at Chomu House Circle ended up ruining the life of the entire families, including of those who lost their kids and of those who lost their mother. But neither the police nor the transport department has taken any responsibility so far. Though the truck driver and his helper were arrested, but no actions have been taken against them till date.

The accident point didn't have any speed breakers. Both the traffic lights and supervision cameras were not working at the time of the accident, and to our distress, their condition is the same even today (so many days after the accident). Street lights have also not been introduced because of which, it still remains dark there in the wee hours.

The authorities have failed in stopping the entry of overloaded vehicles in the city. The above pictures are a proof of the same. Other than these, an overloaded tractor was also spotted running on just two wheels due to excessive weight.

Death runs in Chomu

This Sunday, a tractor overloaded with fodder was spotted 35 km away from the Jaipur city, at Chomu. This tractor was running on just two wheels with its other two wheels lifted in air due to the extra tonnes. this tractor rushed through busy bus stand areas on its two back wheels. According to reports published in Rajasthan Patrika, a police officer also passed the overloaded tractor but didn't try to stop or question the tractor driver.

A little later, the tractor was made to stand by the roadside but the police then let the tractor driver go without much actions.

It is very unfortunate that the authorities are showing such negligence towards overloaded vehicles and letting them run ruthlessly on the Jaipur roads.

Are we waiting for more lives to be lost?
