10 Events to Attend in Jaipur this November 2016


Though the five-day festival of Diwali has come to an end but the city of Jaipur still brings you a number of reasons to keep the excitement going. Pink city is hosting an array of wonderful and interesting events which you can attend this November and stay energized all month through.

1. Jaipur Saras Rashtriya Craft Mela 2016 – 3rd to 14th November

Jaipur Saras craft exhibition starts from Thursday, November 3, 2016 to Monday, November 14, 2016 at Amroodon ka Bagh. In this craft exhibition you can look out for craft stalls from 18 different states of India including stalls from Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and Himachal Pradesh. You can shop for wooden crafts, handicrafts, leather products, woollens, decorative materials, earthen utensils and artificial jewellery.

Every evening from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. cultural programs will be organized where artists would perform on folk dances, etc.

2. Run for Unity – 5th November

On the occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary under the Rashtriya Ekta Saptah (National Integration Week), a Run for Unity run will be organized on Saturday, November 5, 2016. The run would start from Amar Jawan Jyoti at 8 a.m. in the morning with school students, NCC cadets, NSS students, athletes and youngsters running together till Statue Circle.

3. Rajasthan Startup Fest 2016 – 5th and 6th November

This annual flagship startup event of Rajasthan is back with its second edition to be held on 5th, 6th November in Sitapura Industrial Area of Jaipur. 200+ startups, 50+ angel and venture capital investors, 30+ mentors and startup coaches and 50+ seekers will join the 2 day event of great interactions and sessions.

4. Urban Paranthas Festival – 6th to 20th November

A scrumptious Urban Paranthas Festival will be held in Jaipur for all food lovers in the city at the Eatery at Four Points by Sheraton, Jaipur. You can choose from a variety of paranthas including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and have them with bhurji, yoghurt, sprout salad or pickle.

7. National Children’s Film Festival – 14th to 16th November

The second 3-day National Children’s Film Festival NCFF by Children’s Film Society of India CFSI will be held at the Birla Auditorium in Jaipur from Children’s Day, November 14. Around 40 films will be screened in 10 cinema halls during the 3 days festival themed on ‘Make in India. The festival will also include workshops on animation, script-writing, filmmaking, dance and theatre for kids.

8. THAAR – The Aravali Adrenaline Rush 2016 – 18th to 20th November

The Jaipur Cycling Comrades Club is organizing one of Rajasthan’s biggest cycling events on the occasion of the 289th foundation day of Jaipur. The 3-day cycling festival will include interactive sessions with pro-cyclists and celebrity sportsmen, race in 250 kms and 125 kms category, cultural evening and gala dinner.
