Bigg Boss, the Colors’ most-awaited reality show, premiered last night on October 16. This new season is again hosted by Salman Khan, who opened the show with actress Deepika Padukone, Colors CEO Raj Nayak and Nadia Chauhan, the joint managing director and chief marketing officer of Parle Agro.

This season the highlight of the show is that Bigg Boss it will not just be a clash of celebrities. Along with celebs, even common people will fight for survival inside the house. The show has two types of contestants – the celebrities and the commoners. The Bigg Boss house has been themed around a modern Indian Palace, where the sevaks (celebrity contestants) will serve the maaliks (the commoners).

Bigg Boss 10 contestant from Jaipur

Another highlight for Jaipurites is that one of the contestants of Bigg Boss Season 10 hails from Jaipur – Manoj Tyagi, fondly known as Manu Punjabi. He has been shortlisted for the commoner contestants and will compete with them.

Self-obsessed Manoj Punjabi admits that he is a playboy and enjoys flirting and smooth-talking with ladies. He knows how to impress with his charm. Despite being a commoner, Manu Punjabi from Jaipur is all charged up and confident to woo the celebrities of Bigg Boss 10 house. He also does mimicry and is sure to gain attention through his gimmicks in the house. He enjoys partying, playing cricket and watching cartoons.

The 34-year-old Capricorn, who has entered Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss Season 10 show, was born on December 27, 1982. He did his schooling from Mahesh High School, Jodhpur and is a real estate businessman living in Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur. He is all set to fight it out with the other shortlisted contestants to make a place inside the Bigg Boss 10 house this year.

Manoj says

“I’m Manoj ‘Jugaad’ Punjabi. Impossible is not a word in my dictionary. I can really push my limits inside the Bigg Boss house and I would drink the water of the entire swimming pool for a task if needed.”

In the words of his fiancee Priya Saini

We are very excited about the whole prospect of seeing him on the show. Manoj left Jaipur on October 8 to shoot for the show in Mumbai. Before that, the makers of the show had come to Jaipur to shoot a video about his life here. It will be shown on the introductory episode.”

Priya described Manoj, aka Manu Punjabi, as a short-tempered guy and a cricket-lover. She said, “He has this habit of getting into any fight or argument, even if it has got nothing to do with him. Also, he is obsessed with cleanliness.”

Bigg Boss 10 is not his first show

This isn’t the first time that Jaipur’s Manu Punjabi will be seen on a reality show. Before this, he has been a part of the show, ‘The Bachelorette India - Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika’ in 2013 where Mallika Sherawat tried to find her soulmate. Manu Punjabi didn’t win that show but he sure grabbed attention of Mallika and the viewers by gifting a lamb to her.
