Recently, a polo match of the US Polo Team with mixed exhibition of people was organized in the Rajasthan Polo Club.
Some time back, it was the first time for our country India and also the first and the foremost time for the Jaipur city where they witnessed US women players compete in a sport.
It is said that now is the fortunate chance when the Royal Jaipur Polo Team of Rajasthan Polo Club to play exhibition matches.
These exhibition matches will be played by the Royal Jaipur Polo Team against Santa Barbara of California on Saturday, August 6, 2016 and the next week the matches will be played in Hampton, New York and Pine Plains, New York in the Mashomack Club.
The captain for these matches will be Padmanabh Singh, heir and king of the royal family of Jaipur city.
After being crowned as the king, this is the first match that Padmanabh will be involved with as a captain of the team.
Also, after the crowning ceremony of Padmanabh as the king, this is the first Polo match he will be associated with.
To represent the Rajasthan Polo Club, members namely Fateh Singh, Raneshwar Singh and Abhimanyu Pathak will also be a part of the match as players.
Abhimanyu Pathak is one of the finest Polo players in the country and is ranked as handicap 5. Padmanabh Singh and Fateh Singh both are players ranked as handicap 1. Raneshwar Singh is a player ranked as handicap 2.
Polo Handicap is a system created to help teams to be more evenly matched when using players with varying abilities.
The players are rated on a scale from minus-2 to 10. Minus-2 indicates a novice player, while a player rated at 10 goals has the highest handicap possible.
The Royal Jaipur Polo Team will be welcomed in Santa Barbara by and under the guidance of the Governor of Pacific Coast Circuit Mr. Patrick M. Nesbitt of the US Polo Association.
In the series, matches will be played between the Royal Jaipur Polo Team and Santa Barbara Polo Club and also between Bella Vista Polo Team and Royal Jaipur Polo Team.
Padmanabh Singh shared his personal reactions that they have been practicing for the matches since past 4 weeks.
He expressed that he is being the captain for a match for the Royal Jaipur Polo Team for the very first time.
He explains and expresses his nervousness but also hold full faith and belief in his team.
This isn’t the first time that we four are playing a match together. We have been teamed up together to play a match and compete against other teams and clubs because we four have shared a bond of friendship together.
Padmanabh Singh has played Polo matches of International level previously. A few days back, Padmanabh played a charity match with Britain’s Prince William and Prince Henry.
