Book Magna Carta to be on display in Albert Hall Museum - A roundabout of human rights


The Albert Hall museum in the Jaipur city houses numerous artifacts. On display for public viewing and knowledge, these artifacts are a much celebrated and liked affair for tourists and visitors. Depicting and reminding one of history and the glorious acts of people and personalities, these artifacts are much preserved by the government for public welfare.

Albert Hall display for tourist attraction and benefit:

From the British Library from London, a book named ‘Magna Carta’ which dates back to about 800 years is being brought to India to the city of Jaipur for being on display in the Albert Hall museum. A much given thought for the tourists, this attempt has been made.
Book display area: The book will be on display in the ‘Maharajaon Ka Chowk’.
Magna Carta in India for the first time: Under the exclusive exhibition concept this book is being brought to India for the very first time.

Book will be showcased in Jaipur Literature Festival, 2017:

For all the literature enthusiasts and fans, this book will be displayed in the Jaipur Literature Festival in the year 2017.

Decoding Magna Carta:

Magna Carta is a book that was issued by King John Edward. The book describes and gives practical solutions for the political crisis that took place in 1215. Many changes were made and recorded in Magna Carta since the time of its issue up to a period of 10 years.

The book is being transported from London. It is said to be the first book that’s undertaking such transportation. The book talks and delivers food for thought about human rights.

Magna Carta – A base for Constitutions across the globe:

Magna Carta has served as a base for forming clauses not only the British Constitution but also for Constitutions of various countries. The principles of Magna Carta have been repeated and taken in the Unites States Bill of Rights (1791) and Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948).

Seeking permissions for display of Magna Carta:

A proposal from the Government of Rajasthan has been sent to the British Library to seek permission to showcase the book in the museum. The team at the British Library will only grant this permission after they have viewed and are satisfied with the arrangements made here.

Magna Carta all insured:

To keep the book on display and for public viewing will be much to the benefit of the visitors in terms of their knowledge as they will get to read and know about the human rights. Magna Carta is brought into the country only after being insured.

It will be much of an interest and appeal to the visitors and tourists to get more know-how about Magna Carta as the book is years old in its form and talks about human rights.

Senior officials of the British Library have ordered to know about the arrangements that have been made in order to keep the book safe and secure.  Information from here has been sent to them in different sections.

  • Date of construction of the Albert Hall
  • Types of marbles that have been utilised in the making of the Albert Hall
  • Any construction that is being planned to take place in the Albert Hall in the coming 3 months
  • Details about the exhibition area of the Albert Hall
  • Details about the area where Magna Carta will be placed
  • Distance of the visitors from where the Magna Carta book will be showcased.
  • Parking space at Albert Hall

As it is known that Magna Carta is a book that was written 800 years ago, thus keeping that in mind and for keeping the same safe and secure and to avoid its deterioration, the different temperature that Jaipur city has have also been asked for by the senior officials of the British Library. Other details of these have been asked for:

  • Temperature regulators
  • Alarm systems from security point of view
  • CCTV cameras
  • Motion sensors
  • Magnetic contact devices
  • Photo electric rays
  • Infrared rays
  • Ultrasonic rays
