Jaipur Youngsters! Did you know 12th August is your day? Well, it is. Observed as the International Youth Day, the 12th of August celebrates young people and raises awareness about issues that affect youngsters.

The UN defines the world’s youth as the people belonging to the age group between 15 and 24 years old, which make up one-sixth of the human population on earth. And their numbers are expected to rise rapidly.

1. Padmanabh Singh, the Maharaja of Jaipur

Undoubtedly, the list has to start with the current titular Maharaja of Jaipur, Padmanabh Singh, who has just turned 18 last month. Coming from the royals, Padmanabh Singh not only represents the royal family of Jaipur but also the entire Jaipur city. He is currently studying at Millfield School Street England. Just like his elders, he is also an avid polo player and keeps representing Jaipur at various Polo championships. He has also won a few. Being the Maharaja, he is often looked up to.

2. Aman Bansal, the first IIT topper from Jaipur

This year Jaipur got its first ever IIT topper in the 5 decade history of IIT-JEE examinations. The 17 year old, Jaipur’s Aman Bansal scored 320 marks to seize the top position in the country and became the first ever JEE Advanced topper from Jaipur. He studied at the Jaipur centre of Kota-based Allen Career Institute. Not just his parents but the entry city is proud of him today.

3. Aastha Agarwal, the girl who bagged Rs.2.1 crore job offer from Facebook

Two years back in 2014, the 20 year old Jaipur girl, Aastha Agarwal bagged a pre-placement Rs.2.1 crore job offer from the leading social network Facebook. She completed her 8th semester at IIT Bombay and then only joined Facebook in October 2015. A resident of government colony on Sahkar Marg, Jaipur, Aastha is the younger of two daughters and is currently working in London office.

4. Tina Dabi, the Jaipur girl who topped UPSC exams in first attempt

Jaipur’s 22 year old Tina Dabi topped the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) civil service examinations in her first attempt. She is also the first one to clear the examinations in first attempt at such an early age. Along with this she has been the topper of the senior secondary examinations (12th) of CBSE Board and was also the topper of her college.

5. Pratistha Yadav, promoted to 1.5 crore package at Google

Rajasthan University’s Law student Pratishtha Yadav got offered Rs.72 lakh job offer by Google last year, while she was still studying. Now Jaipur’s Pratishtha has been promoted to Rs.1.5 crores package by the leading IT company Google.
