The Urban Development and Housing (UDH) Department approved online building plans of two commercial projects in Jaipur. This was the first time that an online approval was given after the state government initiated the online BPAS Building Plan Approval System on June 6. The two commercial projects that have been approved are for Bhiwadi and Udaipur.
The online Building Plan Approval System BPAS is expected to make the process less cumbersome and more transparent. This new digital system will also not leave much scope for corruption. So, the online BPAS is a win-win decision overall.
UDH Minister, Rajpal Singh Shekhawat said that Rajasthan has become the first state in the country to initiate the online BPAS in all its districts. He also told that the online BPAS will result in fast clearance of projects. Also there will be more transparency and the system will get simplified.
Using this online system will result in the approval of plans in a time-bound manner through a single-window system. It will take a maximum of 30 days to get the building plan cleared online. According to a senior official, a fast track approval will be in effect by August 1, which will further make the process faster.
The BPAS is hosted on Single Sign on the State Government website - https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in. You can find it under implementation of ‘Business Reform Action Plan 2015’ of Ease Of Doing Business (EODB) by the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP).
The same BPAS benefit can be availed of in the ongoing Single Window Clearance System - http://swcs.rajasthan.gov.in/.
Applicants are free to register on the website to avail the benefit. As an applicant, you can also submit the required documents on the website. The system features a single ID for each applicant that acts as a personal dashboard to access information and the status of the online applications by you. The BPAS provides end-to-end solutions for all applicants by providing online submission, processing, site inspection, release of building plan approval and fee payment.
The BPAS has already been implemented throughout the Rajasthan state, covering all local bodies and urban development authorities, UITs and RIICO.
