There had been a recent case where the false ceiling in hotel Bella Casa, located at the cross roads of the B2 Bypass caused suffering to the people in its premises.
A wedding function was taking place in the banquet hall of hotel Bella Casa when the ceiling fell down. The happening of the event had led to people being injured and had also resulted in the death of 3 people.
On a similar note, there has been a case reported where the false ceiling of the hotel has fallen down yet again.
It is merely after a period of 13 days from the misfortunate event that took place at hotel Bella Casa, that a related happening took place at one of the plushest hotels of the city, the J.W. Marriott.
The collapse of the false ceiling took place on Sunday, July 17, 2016.
In the late hours of night time, the false ceiling of the porch area of the J.W. Marriott hotel descended on a luxurious car parked there.
Ceiling is said to have collapsed in the late hours of the Sunday night at around IST 11:30 PM.
Immediately after the happening of this, the hotel staff requested all its guests to remove their parked cars from the porch area. It is considered fortunate that nobody was hurt during this unfortunate incident.
The Jawahar Circle police officials also reached the spot on the happening of the incident as soon as they were acquainted with the event’s happening, but none of the parties involved in the episode has filed a report as of yet.
The car belongs to a resident of the Jaipur city. Businessman Manish Singhal along with his family came down to J.W. Marriott hotel to dine with his family.
He dwells in the Ambabadi area of the city.
After dining, when the family was retrieving back to their home, they got into their car to leave.
As soon as the family got into the car, a portion of the false ceiling distorted and fell down on the ceiling of their car.
The family informed the hotel staff about this.
The family also informed the police about the event.
The general manager of the hotel was called at the scene of the episode, but he did not come down.
The police officers asked the Singhal family to file the incident and its report but Mr. Singhal did not file a case until late night.
Police had arrested the general manager of hotel Bella Casa when the occurrence of the fall ceiling of the hotel took place some days back.
It is said that there has been no contact established with the general manager of J.W. Marriott until now.
