If you are curious enough to know the answers of all the questions asked above or any other question regarding astronomy strikes your mind continuously, then attend the National Astronomy Convention taking place in Jaipur on 4th August 2016.
Although astronomy is not taught in any curriculum of any school, yet concept building to learn astronomy starts from school. How strong are your fundamentals in science and maths decide how far can you go in astronomy field.
So to answer the queries of students of 7th to 10th class regarding the astronomy concepts, Astronomy Club “Astrokid” is organizing this convention cum competition.
A competition is going to be organised in the convention. Students from 7th to 10th class can take part in the competition. For this, 5 topics shall be given for a which a notification shall be uploaded on website on 4th July. Students can take part in a team of 2 persons. They shall have to select a topic out of the 5 topics and prepare a research synopsis with the help of their teachers. The research synopsis shall be required to be mailed up to 19th July. 16 best entries shall be selected from the entries received. On basis of criteria of best research work, best communication and body language, best theme and overall best power point presentation shall be selected and they shall be awarded in the main event.
Started by Physics Expert Ashish Arora in 2014 in Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh School situated in Jagatpura, the main objective of the club is to generate interest among students for learning science and maths concepts that could make their future bright in astronomy field.
Principles of astronomy, astrophysics and space technology are used to make the concepts easier to grab.

More and more such type of events must be organized on regular basis to generate interest among students for various fields. Institute of Chartered Accountants of India also organised an event CAFY to generate interest in school students regarding CA and commerce. The event was very successful. Other professional bodies and clubs should also come forward in this direction.
