Jaipur city is on the list of smart cities which is why the inauguration of the Jaipur Smart City is dated to take place on June 25, 2016 by the esteemed prime minister of the country Shri. Narendra Modi Ji. The newness and the twist that lies in this inaugural ceremony is that it will take place by means of video conferencing by the prime minister.
It is a pleasure to let the Jaipur city residents be acquaint with the fact that Jaipur ranked on the third position in the contest organized for the smart city mission a year ago.
A function will be commemorated at the Birla Auditorium, which has been finalized as the venue to mark the first anniversary of the launch and successful commencement of the smart city mission.
Laying a foundation stone: An official stated that to set the launch of the Public Bicycle Sharing (PBS), a foundation stone will be laid in the walled city.
Building up cycle stands: As per the framework of the Public Bicycle Sharing, Jaipur Municipal Corporation will build up 15 cycle stands from where the tourists and visitors can rent bicycles to visit and sightsee nearby areas.
20 bicycles have been estimated to be made available in the beginning.
Construction cost: An estimated cost of 80 lakh INR is associated with this project.
Signing the MOU: Jaipur Municipal Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding in this aspect, as informed by an official.
Renovation pending:
Under the smart city project, 14 step wells have been listed under the many other projects by the Jaipur Smart Mission Limited for renovation. This project has been pending since the Resurgent Rajasthan.
Sawan Bhado Park inauguration:
The Sawan Bhado Park is dated to be inaugurated on June 25, 2016 under the Smart City Mission. The project was however constructed by the Jaipur Development Authority with an attached construction cost of 3 crores INR.
The way to utilizing solar power:
An attempt to save energy and make full use of solar energy is the aim of the Jaipur Smart Mission Limited under the Smart City Mission project.
Replacing old lights: It is an aim to replace the old lights in the walled city with solar power equipped lights.
An acceptance letter has been issued to REIL the company that has the project for such replacement of lights.
Construction cost: 81 lakhs is the estimated attached cost of this project as informed by an official.
Power generation: The solar panels are set to generate 100 KV of energy to light up the solar lights.
Inauguration date: The project for solar lights replacement is set to be inaugurated on June 25, 2016.
