IIT (JEE Advanced) results got announced this Sunday. This time we have the country’s topper Aman Bansal from Jaipur. Also, 3 students from Jaipur made it to the top 10. Bhavesh Dhingra of Yamuna Nagar has grabbed the second rank while Kunal Goyal from Jaipur stood third. Jaipur’s Gaurav Didwania has secured the ninth position. Kota’s Riya Singh, who actually belongs to Singroli, Madhya Pradesh, has topped the girls’ category.
IIT Guwahati announced the results on Sunday. This time 1,47,678 students competed the IIT examination for filling up the 10,575 seats of 23 IIT. Out of these 36,566 students qualified for counselling. This time 2 out of top 10 studied in Kota. Girls’ category topper Riya Singh (AIR-133) from Madhya Pradesh and SC category topper Chinmay Awale (AIR-45) from Mumbai also studied at Kota. Kota students have really outshined in the top 100 rankers results.
All India topper Aman Bansal topped from the IIT Mumbai zone while Bhavesh has topped IIT Roorkie zone. Sharvik Mittal (AIR-29) has topped IIT Kanpur zone, while studying at Kota.
Aman Bansal, Jaipur emphasized the importance of self-studies along with classroom studies. Having faith on yourself is also equally important. Now he wants to take admission in the Computer branch at IIT Mumbai. Passing 12th with 98%, Aman secured 100 in Chemistry and 99 in Mathematics.
Bhavesh Dhingra, Yamuna Nagar says that he first attempted the Chemistry portion, then Physics and then Mathematics at the end. This helped him in managing his time well, which led to his success in the examinations. He shared that students must concentrate on understanding the concept rather than emphasizing on the question. This way the application of the concept gets stronger and it gets easier to solve the question.
Jaipur’s Kunal Goyal, who has secured the third rank, says that he never neglects the little mistakes. He advised that you should always work on the silly mistakes that you make, so as to benefit in the long run. He said that he didn’t repeat the mistakes he did in JEE Mains while attempting JEE Advanced. Kunal also wishes to study Computer Science from IIT Mumbai.
Gaurav Didwania, Jaipur says that it is believed toppers study for hours. Even I had this misconception at first but then I realized what is more necessary is to judge your own capabilities, strengths and weaknesses. My priority was to give my best. I studied with my class notes mostly.
Madhya Pradesh’s Riya Singh, who has topped the Girls’ category, says that she learnt to deal with the pressure of examinations while studying at Kota. She stayed relaxed and this is one reason behind her success in the examinations. It was her first attempt for the examination.
Mumbai’s Chinmay Awale, who has topped the SC category, says that he was confident about his selection in the IIT after seeing the competitive environment of Kota. “Kota faculty paid so much attention at the minutest of details that an average student (like me) became the SC category topper”, says Chinmay. He gives the credit of his success to the environment in Kota.
