Get rid of traffic jam on Gaurav Tower from 13th June

Good news for people visiting or residing in the Gaurav Tower and adjacent areas.!

Traffic Police has come up with a traffic arrangement for the vehicles moving in Gaurav Tower area to reduce the issue of traffic jam to a certain extent.

In last few years, traffic jam issue has increased in Gaurav Tower area due to unsystematic vehicles parking. Public visiting the Gaurav Tower and the adjacent malls park their vehicles in an unorganised manner due to which people often get stuck in the jams.

To get rid of this issue, Traffic Police is enforcing new traffic arrangement from 13th June. It has been prepared after a meeting among the Police Authorities, Mall Operators of Gaurav Tower area and the JDA officials on 6th June wherein issues related to traffic disarrangement and possible recommendations to remove the disarrangement were discussed.

One-way traffic plan is going to be enforced to get rid of the problem. Further Crystal Court parking and parking lots constructed in other adjacent malls shall also be utilized to avoid unsystematic parking.

According to a recent survey, on the weekends i.e. Saturday and Sunday, around 50-60 thousand people visit the Gaurav Tower area.

Major provisions of the new arrangement

  • One-way flow of traffic from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. every day;
  • Parking and No-Parking zones to be demarked;
  • Vehicles parked in no-parking zones to be penalised;
  • 50 traffic wardens to be appointed for ensuring smooth flow of traffic.

How the traffic will flow?

  • After coming down from Malviya Nagar Bridge over, traffic shall move via Gaurav Tower to Electricity Office;
  • From Electricity Office, traffic shall move via road behind Crystal Court to Malviya Nagar Bridge over (Old Railway crossing);
  • Traffic shall move from downwards of Malviya Nagar Bridge over to Jaipuria Hospital;
  • Traffic shall move from service lane before Malviya Nagar Bridge over (Old Railway crossing) via stock exchange to Jawahar Circle, World Trade Park and Gaurav Tower;
  • Traffic arriving from Jaipuria Hospital shall move from downwards of Malviya Nagar Bridge over via road between stock exchange and GT Central to Crystal Court, GT Central and Fort Anandam;
  • Traffic arriving from Jaipuria Hospital shall move from via behind of GT Central and alongside Anandam Fort to JLN Marg, World Trade Park and Gaurav Tower;
  • Traffic shall also move from road in front of Anandam Fort and Gaurav Tower via Anuvibha Kendra to World Trade Park and JLN Marg.

As of now, the plan is looking up to the mark. It is a win-win solution for all. While public will get rid of traffic jam problem, Mall Operators and Nagar Nigam authorities can earn from parking services. Also police can monitor the traffic flow more easily after the implementation.

If traffic police succeeds in implementing it as it is planned, the most congested area of Jaipur may soon see smooth flow of traffic. Since it is the hottest tourist destination at night to visit, traffic Jam issue resolution is the priority task for the authorities of Jaipur.
