JKK’s Kala Dirgha Exhibition to Present Artworks of 26 Artists at City of Jaipur

Jawahar Kala Kendra is a happening place for all creative souls. The place keeps hosting a variety of art exhibitions, festivals, cultural programs, music performances, etc., every other day. This time it is in news because of its Kala Dirgha exhibition that is starting today.

The exhibition starts today (Thursday, May 5, 2016) and will last till this Sunday. It will showcase eye-catching artworks and paintings by 26 talented artists (both young and experienced) from the ‘Kala Charcha’ team. Conveners of the group, Tarachand Sharma and Mamta  Rokana, reveal that the exhibition will consist of 10 artworks by each of the artists. This will help in showcasing their talent and variations if their artwork the right way, giving each artist the right exposure.

The conveners also shared that they have more than 90 art students, teachers, architects, photographers and art enthusiasts in their group. The group members do meet up from time to time, to share their experiences and discuss art among them. Their team has previously organized shows in Ahmedabad and Delhi, successfully. And now it’s time for them to please Jaipurites with their amazing artworks displayed at JKK.

The exhibition will get launched on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 4p.m. in the evening. Manan Chaturvedi, the Chairperson of Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Brijesh Kumar Tailang, the Director of Jaipur International Airport, and Nathu Lal Verma, an experienced artist, will together inaugurate the exhibition.

  • Vadodara artist, Ajeet Verma’s Live Demo at 4p.m. on May6, 2016
  • Ajeet Kumar’s Live Discussion on Photography techniques at 11 a.m. on May 8, 2016
  • Naval Singh’s Live Portrait Demo at 3p.m. on May 8, 2016
  • Art Critic, Dr. Rajesh Vyas’ Discussion on Art at 5p.m. on May 8, 2016
