Cameras will identify criminal faces and raise alert in City of Jaipur

New cameras to be installed in different areas of the Jaipur city, including the walled city area, MI Road and the area from Jaipur junction to Transport Nagar. These cameras will be equipped to identify criminal faces and raise alerts. This step has been taken to increase the security of the city and its people.

With such cameras being installed everywhere around the city, it would get difficult for criminals to run away or hide from the police, after any incident. Now the police officers won’t have to surf through the camera recordings of various exit places. They won’t have to roam around and ask people with a photograph of the criminal as well. All this would be taken care of by the new CCTV cameras with advanced technology.

Jaipur police is going to use such cameras for the first time. These cameras can help match photographs with the faces of the passerby and notify if it finds any of the faces matching the criminals. At the same time, these cameras will also feature an automatic number plate reader. A private company is taking care of the installation process of these cameras in the walled city as well as the MI Road area.

Other than tracing criminals, these Cameras to help in traffic control

These cameras with face-recognition and automatic number plate reading technology will be put to use for traffic control purposes as well. These cameras will identify vehicles parked on way. In case, any parked vehicle leads to traffic jam, it will blink alert about the situation. It will also notify if any vehicle enters the wrong side. It will help during blockades.

Stolen Vehicles

In case, your vehicle gets stolen, you can visit the control room to get it tracked. Just by inserting any vehicle’s number, you can get to know about its location as these cameras will notify every time that vehicle number passes by them. This will be of great help in getting the crooked thief locked up behind the bars.
