You must have read the news that world’s largest ‘charkha’ is to be displayed at Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in capital city Delhi. On the lines of the same, the country’s second huge ‘charkha’ will be installed in Jaipur as well.
Gandhi Museum will be built in the city of Jaipur, where memories and belongings related to Mahatma Gandhi will be preserved. Rajasthan Khadi and Village Industries Association Union had sent a proposal to the State Khadi & Village Industries Board for building ‘Gandhi Darshan’ plaza. The Board has permitted the construction of this plaza, which would cost about 15 crore rupees.
At present the proposal file has been forwarded to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
