Museums are a pure and authentic display of history and origin of things. The use of antique items, the display and work of the times of kings and queens and the royals. Well not just that, museum is a term that reminds one of artifacts of cultural, historic, scientific and artistic nature which cannot be easily seen at present times and are preserved by the government of the country for public exhibits time to time. These things become of importance in present times.

The Pink City- Jaipur is all set to experience the build of a gems and jewellery museum very soon. Museum of gems and jewellery federation is at present on an exploration for an appropriate space for the same.

To answer the myths and questions of the curious human being, the museum will be an answer to subjects like:

  • Where does the stone for a gem come out from?
  • The extraction process of the gems.
  • What type of stone is obtained from a particular country?
  • How are stones given the look of a fine jewellery piece?

The art of cutting gems and polishing them, the excellence of the creation process of a jewellery piece will all be showcased in the museum.

The creation of this museum is by Museum of Gems and Jewellery Federation. The government and other organizations in the similar industry are inquiring for a suitable and appropriate land for the construction of the museum. On Friday, Mr. Rajeev Jain, the chairman of the gems and jewellery federation was seen in the Chamber Bhawan and put in the picture that apart from education perspective, the museum will also create and offer a broad horizon in the tourism and business space.

Museum Details:

The stadium is presumed to have 5 floors with a display of more than 100 sections for the jewellery and gems and will display the history of gems and jewellery. The gems and jewellery museum is planned to have an underground vault and storage in the basement. The museum will be accompanied with a gem park rock garden wherein fine sculptures and rocks will be on put on show. An approximation of cost has been made which will go in the construction of the museum. This cost nears to about Rs 25 cores. Dr. Rajnikanth Shah, the coordinator familiarized and updated that the planning and process for the setup of this museum is going on over the past one year. The gates of the museum will be opened on a small scale for the first year in the beginning and the museum will operate on a large scale after the location of a fine and outsizes space.

Mr. Vijaykumar Chordia, the secretary of the gems and jewellery federation announced that the museum will be segregated into 100 diverse and distinctive sections. Each section will be prepped up on a unique theme. Some classic names that have been given a thought and name are mentioned here:

  • Riches in the rocks
  • The diamond empire
  • Geometry-inner world of gemstones
  • Red Indian and African jewellery

Preparations and ideas of audio visual informative gadgets and techniques are suggested to provide the visitor will valuable information.

Short documentaries and their screening about the fine details of gems and jewellery and the gems and jewellery across different countries in an auditorium have been suggested for tourists. The memorandum documents for the construction of the museum were also presented.
