Erstwhile Prince Ajai Singh to tie the knot on April 16

Royal Wedding of Jaipur



The Royal Residence of Jaipur, City Palace, is all set to witness the grand wedding procession in the month of April.

Grandson of Rajmata Gayatri Devi, Prince Ajai Singh, will tie the sacred knot with Ambika Kumari, the royal princess of Jodhpur on April 16. The palace will witness a marriage procession after a long hiatus of 40 years. The marriage will be attended by several distinct personalities.

Apart from the personalities hailing from royal family of Rajasthan, the event will also be graced by the presence of Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Royal personalities from Austria and Germany are also expected to attend the event. The guest list also includes famous Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore and Moon Moon Sen.

It is worth mentioning that Ilia Devi, the mother in law of Moon Moon Sen was the elder sister of Rajmata Gayatri Devi while Sharmila Tagore is the wife of erstwhile Nawab and famous cricketer Nawab Pataudi Khan who was popularly known as Tiger.

Prince Ajai Singh is a Hotel Management Graduate and is successfully running the family's famous heritage property with his father.

12.04.2016: Bindola Procession from Royal Residence in Civil Lines

13.04.2016: Jaipur will witness the arrival of Royal Guests from different countries

14.04.2016: Ganesh Sthapana at Royal residence of City Palace

15.04.2016: Nikasi from Ganesh Pol of City palace

16.04.2016: Baraat will leave for Jodhpur where the Phera Event will take place at Ummed Bhawan palace.

17.04.2015: Erstwhile Queen and Mother of the Bridegroom Padmini Devi will host the wedding reception
