The 10th season of the popular reality show Bigg Boss has introduced a mix of celebrities and commoners as contestants so as to give the audience a new flavour. Out of the 15 guests in the Bigg Boss 10 house, we have 7 celebrities and 8 commoners. However, Jaipur’s Manoj Punjabi, who has entered the show as a commoner, is no less than a celebrity.
The 34-year old Manoj Punjabi, fondly known as Manu Punjabi, who claims to belong to the Aam Aadmi (commoners) group, had appeared in a reality show before, back in the year 2013. Manu Punjabi was one of the contestants on the reality show, The Bachelorette India: Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika, where actress Mallika Sherawat was supposed to find the perfect match for herself. This reality show featuring actress Mallika Sherawat was aired on Life Ok channel in 2013.
However, Manoj didn’t make it to the finals of the show but he did gain a lot of publicity from there, especially after gifting Mallika a lamb on the show.
The show was won by Vijay Singh though Mallika Sherawat didn’t marry him after the show ended.
In Bigg Boss season 10, Manoj entered the house with Gaurav Chopra, a TV actor. A businessman by profession, Manu Punjabi claims to be the hero of Jaipur. He is quite confident about winning the show. He is one of the most controversial and TRP-raking person in the Bigg Boss 10 house already.
With constant war of words with celebrity contestants like Lopamudra Raut and Karan Mehra and by calling Karan’s cooked food as ‘vaahiyat’ meaning rubbish, Manoj has been attracting lots of attention towards himself.
Even after being a commoner from Jaipur, Manu Punjabi has been very casual about the cameras. He doesn’t mind being front of cameras all through the day. This is because he has had some experience being in front of multiple cameras before during his reality show, the reality show, The Bachelorette India: Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika.
