‘Know Your Army’ Exhibition: Jaipur city plays host to an army exhibition

The Ambedkar Circle in the Jaipur city was a bit more crowded than it is on regular days. The area had a buzz around itself. Everything seemed to be different and charming. This is a scenario of Sunday, August 14, 2016.
It was seen that everyone that day, from the little kids to the impatient youngsters and to the adults and elderly people, everyone was brimming with excitement and seemed to have a thirst to want to know things.
Everyone was heading towards the ground at the Ambedkar Circle in the city.
Right after the entry gate, about four steps ahead after entering the gate of this Circle, four army men were in position on a jeep with their rifles.

‘Know Your Army’ exhibition:

The buzz and the excitement that was booming up was because the Indian Army had organized an exhibition by the name ‘Know Your Army’ which had a gorgeous display of the weapons used by the Indian army men.

People showed up in a gigantic number on the weekend:

As it was a weekend (being Sunday) and schools colleges and institutes had a holiday on that day, an umpteen number of people turned up.

Clicking selfies and viewing weaponry:

People were excited to get selfies clicked with the army men. On the other hand, some people were excited to view heavy weaponry used by the army men.
Little children got onto the army tank and were tremendously energized and thrilled to witness such a different environment.

Patriotic feel:

People in the ground seemed full of national and patriotic feeling. Two reasons can be told for such an excitement amongst the city people.
Songs in the spirit of national togetherness were playing and tales of bravery were being told. The second reason is quite obvious though, Sunday was being followed by Monday, the 70th Independence Day of India.

Bravery tales – Tales on the use of weapons:

Tales of how the heavy weaponry is used by the army men, how battles against Pakistan were fought using such heavy weapons and then such battles were won etc. Everyone present there in the exhibition felt proud to be a resident of the nation. People heard the tales of the army men on a one-on-one basis, the experiences of the army men being told by themselves in their very own words.

Exquisite display of Indian Army and their weapons:

Weapons that were on display in the exhibition were special on their own. Tavor, a rifle from Israel, the M4 gun from Unites States of America, Galil Sniping Rifle, rock climbing equipment, parachute and silencer, different magazines and guns that are equipped for night vision use etc were on display in the ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition.

Every weapon used by the Indian Army men is built and designed on the newest of the technology. The weapon that keeps an eye on the enemies and trespassers was something that caught everyone’s attention and everyone wondered as to how and on which technology does it work.

An army technical officer explained that a wireless video and streaming system is installed in the special vehicles. This system helps in determining the location of the enemies. Information can also be transferred by way of this. This device is capable of capturing a video up to a long distance (kilometers to be exact).

‘Know Your Army’ exhibition conclusion:

The ‘Know Your Army’ exhibition organized its closing ceremony on Sunday, August 14, 2016.
