The famous Jaipur Foot makes another victim walk


A car accident victim from the Republic of Congo is now walking on Jaipur Foot

Kakole Mbusa Moise is a 39-year-old amputee from the Republic of Congo lost his right leg to an accident. But now the world-famous Jaipur Foot has given him another chance to stand on his feet and walk.

The life-changing accident

Mr. Moise works as an electronics dealer. Hailing from the Butembo town of the African country, he was going to Uganda from Congo by car. It was then that the serious accident occurred, which changed his life. He hurt his right leg in that car accident a year ago. And then his leg had to be amputated in order to save his life.

How did he come to know about Jaipur Foot?

Since the time that he lost his leg, he was using crutches to walk. Seeing him walk on crutches, an Indian friend of his suggested him to visit Jaipur and get the world-famous Jaipur Foot fitted.

Getting Jaipur Foot for free by BMVSS

Moise contacted Deependra Mehta, the secretary of BMVSS Bhagwan Mahaveer Vikalang Sahayata Samiti to consult about getting the Jaipur Foot fitted. The secretary advised the Congo national to come to Jaipur immediately. Once he came to the pink city, the Samiti technicians fitted him with the artificial limb within two days. The artificial limb was manufactured in Stanford University in the US.

Moise revealed that he had made enquiries with some companies of western countries about getting the artificial limb fitted, before coming to the Rajasthan capital. The companies he contacted had told him that the limb would cost him Rs.20 lakhs but the BMVSS in Jaipur provided it to him absolutely free of cost.

Mr. Moise advises handicaps to visit Jaipur

He is quite happy and satisfied with the personal care that was given to him here at Jaipur. And it feels great to be walking again on the famous Jaipur Foot. He recommend to other handicapped people to reach Jaipur and get rehabilitated.

Jaipur Foot is Changing Lives

BMVSS supporter D.R. Mehta told that the Jaipur Foot now has made its presence in 27 countries in the world. It is changing lives of the ones handicapped by birth and even the ones who lost their limbs in accidents and other mishaps.
