Jaipur joins the list of LighHouse Cities of the World

Jaipur has become one of the 30 cities of the world to be selected as Light House City. It is worth mentioning that the city is already listed with smart city program. In this program the Smart Solution Deployment will be implemented don larger scales.
Around 20 to 30 major issues of the city would be identified and each issue will be solved using the latest technology and modern methods. On the same issue a meeting with JDC Shikhar Agrawal was conducted on Saturday that was attended by different departments including PHED, Transport, Traffic and Electricity among others. Soon the State Government or JDA will have an agreement with the reputed company Cisco.
The meeting was also attended by the company representative, national and international various mayors associated with the lighthouse project and related officers. After the meeting with JDA, the company also discussed with the Chief Minister.
The word Light house is symbolic of guidance. This project would solve the major problems of the city buy implementing the solution using modern technology. The solution would be implemented in such a way that it can be presented as a standard example for the other cities.
There is a huge work done during last 1.5 years by JDA in regards to Smart Solutions. Smart Parking, Wi-Fi, Camera, E-Kiosk and E-facility are some of the works done in Jaipur. Officers and Mayer of many countries that are associated with the project are also positive about the capability of the city to emerge as a mega city.

Smart solution for City problems

• Automatic Number Plate recognition technique will help to identify the vehicles that have been parked for more than 2 hours in the city's market.
• There are many areas in the city with frequent cases of pipeline leakage or sewage mixing. A smart system would be installed in such areas that will instantly notify the even of leakage.
• Roadways and Private Buses will have the GPS facility that will inform the commuters about their routes and empty seats
• An automated system will be installed ta twill send information about the total amount of garbage in terms of percentage that will help the related department to take the necessary steps to avoid overflow.
• During late night when the roads are empty the city lights will be switched off and as soon as any vehicle is detected the lights would flash instantly.
• Automated alerts regarding the society and repairing of over bridge
